Good work, it's catchy.
not exactly my favorite style, but for having had done it in seven hours on a first attempt, it sounds pretty damn good
Pretty
Oh holey shit, I couldnt really hear the bass, so i spun my knob all the way up on my G15
Oh shit, now that I look, the volume for SOME reason is ALL THE WAY UP, I just got a blast of wind to the face and my ears are ringing
Z5500 + Audigy Fatality = good system IMO and the song sounds really nice, rich bass, and nice overlays on that bass
Great work

do NOT listen to sitting next to a filing cabinet, omfg those things vibrate...
Pretty decent, doesn't sound too bad on cheapy systems.

Good effort, bit too dark for my liking and I like girls vocals in mine, usually of lyrics which were present in songs in the 90's.ShadowsStrike wrote:

Even if you aren't into drum and bass please just have a listen. I will honestly listen to any constructive criticism
This was my first attempt at making a drum and bass song using Logic Pro. I have been doing my course for 9 days, and had 3 lectures. This is the first proper song I have made too, and it hasn't been mastered or anything, and some bits do need tweaking. I'm aware of this, so constructive criticism is welcome. It took about 7 hours to make, so enjoy (or try to ;])
Sadly, all the sounds are taken direct from Logic, but my knowledge of it is basic at best so please bare with me
I think it would be a good soundtrack to a gangsta game for eg, Vice City of something like that. All I would do is add lyrics. Cracking 1st attempt though, better than what I could do.
I'd agree with the vocals, only needs a small sampled peice to use here and there but it does improve a track IMO, I speak as someone who knows nothing about DnB, but I know what I like listening to1927 wrote:

I was about to say it should be modeled on Pendulum, then it would be truly
A bit of vocal, and different beats, i know D&B is repetitive, but it should have a variety of repetition

Turned it up max on my B&O's..
Wasn't a good plan; tea all over my new phone YAY.
Seems good

Bass is WAY overrated. When it's that loud it no longer is enjoyable but actually irritating.
Lmfao cheers guys Thanks for all the crits. and compliments TEP Pm'd me some stuff and believe me, as soon as I can get a decent USB, I will strat using vocal samples etc etc. I did think it needed it myself, and I know for a fact the one i started making today will need them. For some reason, I can't help but make "dark" songs. The always just sound that way. Any ideas on how not to?
EDIT- Forgot to mention, the bass that I'm using on my new one sounds a lot better imo, but I still haven't hear this through my own system. However, judging by everyone's comments it's not bad, so cool

If dark is what you naturally lean towards stick with it, your brain makes you go in that direction for a reason, no point trying to force something when you're trying to be creative, you'll never please everyone so just please yourselfShadowsStrike wrote:

The composition is good, but the sounds you've chosen are really plain and boring. Also, you used too much compression.
I haven't compressed anything =/ I wouldn't even know how too tbh. And the sounds were all presets from Logic, but that shall change as soon as I can afford my own fucking Macbook... Cheers for listening
And that reminds me. What site would you guys recommend for Direct Download?

You don't need a Macbook to have decent sounds and samples .ShadowsStrike wrote:

I do for Logic -.- I finally listened to it on my shitty sound system, and I see what was meant by not hearing certain freq. of bass. But overall it wasn't too bad
pretty mate, especially for a first go
post more, pendulum gets boring some times

Try Danny Byrd, High Contrast or Chase and Status. They are who I get my inspiration from.SamTheMan:D wrote:
