i agree pretty much with you. it seems like when you create a game with very much action, realism and much of the concept of freedom( do what ever you want. play as many kits. use many vehicles)then people love it and i can say gta has that concept and damn its populer. when you have lots of possibilities in a game then it will become better and will track attention for a long time.

i think they have made the aa too powerful,blackhawks are easy targets but at least wake isn't ruled by jets any more

Yeah, I love the new patch for one fact:
Every damned stinger/igla is occupied, so I have a lot of victims for that new, sweet L96A1...
The overpower of AA dosen´t bother me, I can still get 50:0 kills in a jet, but its harder and you must achieve better tactics.

I'd agree. Half Life was my personal favourite for years for having an involving dramatic story line rather than FMV clips between levels, it took immersion to a new level and was incredibly well paced. I have to say im disappionted with HL2, sure it's shinier and more technically brilliant but it just doesn't have the same feeling of wonder as I recall playing HL1 the first time. These days there only seems to be 2 types of games on the PC, bland repetitive generic FPS or bland repetitive generic RTS. The only options seem to be Historical, Modern or Futuristic. Nothing compares to competing against living, breathing human beings  and combined with the freedom offered by the sandbox type games that Grand Theft Auto popularised make the BF style games the current greatest thing since sliced bread. Personally I can't wait for what we will see over the next 3-5 years in this genre. Think about scale of GTA3 vrs GTA:SA - when these games get big (and less buggy) its going to rock. The down side is I can't think where gaming can go after that we're on the verge of conquering near photo realistic 3D graphics, massively-multiplayer networking (hell 24mb broadband is already here), huge playing fields we're free to roam and play as we wish. Where do you go after this?

Doom is the game that ALL FPSs should be judged remember getting that shareware,i still chuckle when mates used to jump when a zombie came out at the screen LMAO BF2 is Doom 25th Century Software(thats why Dice are having trouble lol)Can you, Dice EA patch for AMD x2s please(i can dream?)

i dissagree i think donkey kong is the best game ever made............................. but seriously nothing beats half life 1... stillaient stoped playin it but yer as for multiplayer goes id say this comes in 2nd againts good old cs =]

Bf2 is such an increadable games, it has problems but thats because its so big.

People say Why does CS Run better? why does doom 3 run better?
Cause both those engines have tight area's with pictures for backgrounds

In bF2 you can go through the background and theres still another 100 Ks of map to explore
the guns OWN The choppers and tanks and mechanics are awsome

Well I dont know about best game ever, it certainly is the best fps I've ever played, while phantasy star for the sega genesis was the best rpg ever, total annihilation was the best rts ever.
