QFT.  They need to cut down the range of the Essex, but make it so it would slice through any jet that is dumb enough to venture to the carrier.

You know there's 2 right? And if you can get a guy that is "smart" enough to lie next to the arty island sam site and then man it when they attack then you've got a J10 trapped in between 3 lines of fire.

Yes, I know there are two.  I also know that a pro jet whore can kill the igla chair on the way to killing one of the Essex guns and hit the other Essex gun on the turn trip.

I just thought it would be nice to see the Essex get beefed up.  Make it take at least 2 passes to kill and make the missiles about 2 or 3 times stronger.  Of course this would require cutting the range that the Essex can lock as well.

Ya let's be honest here, the essex is pretty gimped, but so is the airfield. 

If the first J10 sucks, and the F35 is decent you can end China for the rest of the game, especially if another F35 gets up and keeps the J10s down with you.

Still the F35 and USA situation is way more gimped. First F35 goes to airfield, and squad spawns for an easy win, else the F35s have to take out the J10s continually for the rest of the game.

Well the best way to balance the CWIS would probably to do a few things.

First, increase the damage and overheat time of the 30mm, that way it's actually useful against aircraft.

Second, make the missiles track better. Currently the CWIS missiles don't track as well as those from the other ground AA and the aircraft, and seldom hit there target.

Third, the armor needs to be increased. As is it can be torn up by the 25mm on the jets, and the TV missile kills in 1 hit. It's also a large and static target, very easy to hit. So much so that bad pilots (like myself) go straight for it cuz it's an easy kill.

Now before you guys say that this would make it OP, think for a minute, wouldn't that actually be a good thing? I mean when the carrier is being raped there's no good way of defending it, and the guys who got left on top, even if they aren't trying to whore a jet maybe the UH-60 left, are fucked. The CWIS is supposed to curb carrier rape, but it's to ineffective and to much a death trap for it to do anything to stop it.

Edit: a problem might be on Iron Gator where the CWIS is actually useful for keeping MEC from boarding the carrier, but if MEC had another Mi-8 then it wouldn't be such a problem.

Well i cant give a straight answer, but if you think about it, how many people who started to play the game 3 years ago still play the game?

can i help you ask?: im sure the people who still play it hardcore may help you. after all, ive put in the time into this game, ive seen it all, done it all, nothing more for me to do but just to move on.

Why?  There's dozens of Karkand and wake servers, but there is a severe lack of GOOD allmaps. 

Also, autoswitching squad members and not squad leaders is dumb, since people just make one man locked squads solely to avoid being switched, and this is just encouraging it.  Besides, there always seems to be 6-8 people out of a squad at any time, let those fools get switched and not the ones that want to help the team.

tried it out while it only had 3 people on earlier (then d/c'd )

needs more people to fill it really. Maybe try setting it to 32 slots while it's less popular, then set it to 64 later on? That way you get a game going faster. Keep the map size the same though. Could be pretty cool if it got filled.
