Here's my method for the flu (as long as it's respiratory, and not stomach) SLEEP. If you don't want to miss class, the only time to sacrifice is your free time. SLEEP is vital.
Liquids, plenty of liquids. Multivitamins= round off the vitamins you need that your regular diet doesn't cover. Maybe even double up on the vitamins (be careful, know what you are taking)
NO SLEEPING PILLS. Unnatural, it's shitty sleep and puts your internal clock up fucked river.
Bundle up and sweat like a pig. Sweating like hell seems to filter out impurities for me anyway. Bundle up and pass out in bed after downing a COMFORTABLE but impressive amount of water filled liquids (soda and the like don't do crap besides dose you with sugar, again messing with the body's chemistry, possibly pissing away things it needs to fight the sickness.
NEVER swallow sinus drainage in your throat. Spit it out, blow your nose. That crap is loaded with the impurities your body is trying to purge out. Swallowing it just puts it back into the body.
Chicken noodle soup. It just works, hell if i know why.
Never NEVER allow yourself to get cold. It's bad business. Energy is wasted to fix that feeling, redirecting the war on the flu. Further, Barefoot on cold floors, bad also.
Coricidin D- A personal favorite over the counter pill of mine. I have found few "flu remedies" that worked, and I skeptically tried this one. Little did I know that Coricidin D eats flu testicles for breakfast. Again, know what you are taking, but I wanted to marry the inventor after I took this.
