Basically, I have been getting these BSoDs recently, almost always while watching videos through the internet. 16 months ago I upgraded the graphics card of my Dell Dimension 4600 to a 7600 GT, and added a GB of RAM. The problem existed a while ago, but only in the last month or so has it become really bad. I now get one almost every day that I go on this PC.

The error message is as following, I haven't fully included all of the details I'm assuming are always there:

--------------------------------------

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time...if problems continue...select safe mode

Technical Information:
***STOP: 000000D1 (0x00000040, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xB74A0C34)

*** WG11TND5.sys - Address B74A0C34 base at B7463000, DateStamp 431bb9a0

Beginning dump of physical memory...further assistance
--------------------------------------

On top of that I've got the event viewer information, the description is:

--------------------------------------

Error code 100000d1, parameter1 00000040, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 b74a0c34.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.as...

--------------------------------------

I hope someone understands some of that and helps me...would be very much appreciated thanks.  Please don't reply in too technical language as I am not a techie myself.

Uninstall your old drivers and download the newest ones.

I've now installed the newest driver for the Wireless card, but I just got another crash, with different letters after WG11TND5.sys

I can try and find out what they are next time but does anyone have some idea of an underlying problem?

After WG11TND5.sys it now says "Address B7380C34 base at B734F000, DateStamp 431bb9ao"

Often when I play BF2 now I get the disconnection messages "Ignoring MD5 Tool Queries" and "Corrupted Packet Flow", and sometimes when I click to join a server it freezes, stuttering on the menu music, then after 5 or 6 seconds I get "You have been disconnected from the server."  Sometimes if I have the problems I can induce a BSoD by watching loads of videos and then next time I go on it seems to be ok.

If anyone else has had these problems some help would be seriously useful, I haven't been able to find a decent answer anywhere so far.

i did a search of the netgear forums netgear

the good news is you're not alone, the bad news is it looks like there isn't a permanent solution yet...

Thanks for that I see what someone means by "netgear swept it under", I could never find anything from them before.

Well, all I can do now is wait or buy another one.  Oh ballbags.

Gaming over wireless is a bad idea.  Too many outside factors influence your connectivity and make it generally unrelaible.  Great for web browsing, bad for gaming.

Hardwire that bitch if you can.
