For techno listen to DJ Umek or DJ Valentino Kanziany (both slovenians )

Techno on the other hand... I recommend you check out Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music. It's hilarious, informative, and full of awesome samples!
I would say Techno is a bit darker, heavier, more instrumental and repetitive, sometimes doesn't have as much big builds and breaks as other genres.
EDIT: Oh, and Ishkur's guide is also heavily biased but in a funny sort of way (Plus he also thinks ALL electronic music artist owe their existence to Kraftwerk, to which I would agree, but there are some who wouldn't)
