what in gods name happened to these things? i have found that there are only certain places (for me) that the missile will explode, for example, it wont explode when hitting the top of the chopper going down, or when it hits the cockpit. i played a round of wake, the Cobra was lining up on us, so i fired a missile at an up angle INTO the canopy, KILLING THE PILOT AND COPILOT without blowing the chopper, wtf?
Shit happens. I've been shot out of the jet with the jet PERFECTLY INTACT (not even smoking) and no one kills me (polarbearz is no more), and i watch the jet spinning for 15 seconds.
Ive been shot out of the cockpit of a jet by anti aircraft missiles. That was one of the more amusing things thats happened to me. I literally watched the jet fly on for 15 seconds and crash into a hillside.

I notice this sort of thing happens alot more on servers with less people in them. Perhaps it has something to do with cpu load on the server? I admit I dont know much about how hit detection works.

yer just yesterday i was flyin on wake an all of a sudden bam,,i was hit by an aa missle in the rear of my plane and sumhow it manmaged to kill me but not the plane.. it went on to nose dive into the water almost killin about 2 guys in a boat tryin to get to shore
TV missle kills everything it touches so I'm gonna say you missed and some other missle hit them causing it to look like it was you. I've seen a lot of glitches in BF2 but the TV missle not killing is not one of them.

I had TV missle problems on Kubra dam! i was trying to nail tanks that were on top of the dam just above the middle flag and the missles kept going straight through them, hitting the ground way below the dam.
yup i dont know what happend to the tv missle to but im an expert in it but after this patch i dont seem to hit as much as i did with the tv missle and i cant hit the cockpit to and other areas to its really strange and fucked up i hate it damn things goes right trough the heli sometimes
I shot both the gunner and pilot out of a cobra the other day with one stinger missle. I thought I had missed and hit something else, because the chopper was still there.. but then I couldn't get a lock and realized I had shot them out of the seat.
I've had this problem many of times, I've seen the missile go directly through choppers.
My favourtite though was the other day on cleansweep, I hit the cockpit of the cobra, and could see the other guys face right before it hit him
