Hi! okay, so a few of you know about my recent problem with my old comp. Well, I'm gonna have to replace the mobo.
Thing is, I don't want to have to buy a new comp, so my question is, can i find a mobo that is compatible with the rest of the comp (i.e. I'd just switch the mobo and keep all the rest)

Details:

Asus A7V333 (VIA KT333 chipset) to be replaced:

Needs to have a PATA port/plug for my HDD
Needs to be able to run a Athlon XP 1500+ - 2100+ (Palomino) CPU
needs an AGP gfx port

I know it's pitiful, but it's for my kid bro. He doesn't need anything.

PATA is ATA so thats no prob since 98% of mobos still have at least one.
I'd recommend Abit NF7(s) but at this point its pointless to give recommendations since you will have to search quite a bit to even get any such old mobo. So best thing is searching on your favourite stores/sites for any nForce 2 or nForce 3 mobo. Then post it here just to be 100% sure its compatible with your stuff.

Browse on sites where they sell used stuff. Here where i live there are 2 sites that with used goods that sell nf2 and 3mobos.

I don't trust electronics on EBay. They've too much of a faulty history in my experience. I want it new, with warranty.
