The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
No need to answer my question, though. I've already gone ahead and bought two pairs of MDR EX85s - a pair of white and black for my girlfriend and I, respectively.
I have a pair of crazy-bass Sennheiser CX-400s, they're quite good - and comfy too.
I have these and love them.
GOOD earbuds are way way better, they are basicly ear plugs so they block out outside noise better. Most good ones will come with a bunch of tips (my shures came with 9 different pairs) so you can find one that fits your ears well..Sup wrote:
ear buds are the ones that you need to stick them in the ear right? I hate those, I like ordinary earphones.
My ear buds were much cheaper and are much better then my normal headphones (e2c vs sony MDR-700)
Ye but I get annoyed by them. Don't them stuck in my ear so deeply lolVicktorVauhn wrote:

I got the Shure SE110's and love them.
Mods can close this btw unless you want to keep it open for future headphone/earbud suggestions.

I got my pair of Sony MDR EX85s in the mail today and they sound kickass. I suppose they COULD be better, but for €30 I am not complaining at all (especially considering a store retailer wanted €45 for the older EX75s).
