Will a Antec 650w Earthwatts PSU works with a ATi 4870 512Mb

Well the title pretty much sums it up... i wasnt a 100% because of varying info i was getting... the 650w earthwatts is on ATi recommended PSU list for the 4870.

however, the 4870 takes 2 6 pin connectors (i think) but the antec website says the 650w only has 1.

if this combo does not work can u recommend me a good PSU (650w preferably) that will work.

It'll work easily. Nitteo ran quad 8800GTs off a 430W eathwatts. For the second PCI-e 6pin plug you can just get a molex adaptor

It's recommended 550W for the 4870 512mb last i saw ... but then again (and we did discuss this before max remember?) go for the bigger PSU ... a small PSU going at full load is not as good as a bigger PSU with the same load ...

I remember... In the end it doesn't make that much of a difference. The efficiency of a ~550W PSU should be slightly higher with his config. But you do loose some of the upgrade path. You won't come close to using a 550W PSU at full load. He'll pull maybe 300W at max with this config ...
