This is my dad's second pc. He asked me to reinstall XP for him while he was at work, and said his CD drive was bad. Oh god....

Living with a smoker is the most disgusting thing ever. Those ribbon cables are glossy with the film that covers everything around smokers.
O M G ! I usually clean my pc every 2 weeks. except now that I'm in the army...

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
My old PC looked like that (though nowhere near as bad)
Kid's, don't smoke around your computer.
do it around your least favourite family members

Been there, done that.
Now I'm doing a computer covered in FAT and GREASE.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
After one look at that i think I'd tell dear old dad to piss off, i bet it smells terrible too.CrazeD wrote:

Though mine was normal dust, not tar colored.
I bet if you set the computer on fire you could smoke the burning residue

It is the color it is because of smoking. The amount of dust is because it's been sitting in the same spot for at least 4 years without being opened. However, normal dust is light grey.Beduin wrote:

As a former technician responsible for scouring the innards of countless smoker rigs, smoke turns normal dust into gunk. If it gets thick enough, it's like pulling a bum's tangled greasy hair apart. God knows what else I was exposed to while dealing with that shit.Beduin wrote:

If you must smoke around a computer, make sure the room has good airflow in and out.
