One more thing, if the commander do a scan, he often do that, and see a red dot in the outskirt of the map towards a flag he get scared. He will then spot you 10 times and assign a squad to hunt you down. Thats why swimmers always get killed after 15 min of swimming and stalking. Don't look suspicious....

I just wanted to add DISTRACTION in its various forms which is an important part of playing smart.
For exampe, a friendly AT-guy shoots a tank or APC from a side and starts to reload. That is when you throw grenades or toob the thing from your side. Sometimes they fall for it and turn their turret at you allowing the AT take it out without a fear of being mowed down by the bastard.
One good trick in SF is to throw the grappling hook on an enemy occupied roof from one side of the building and then take the ladders. Usually the enemy is lying next to the grappling hook waitin for someone climbing that way and you get to shoot/stab/nade them from behind.

In all my time in BF2 I have only punished 5 people because they deserved it, damn plane whores. I have like a bazillion forgives though.
Another thing I would love people to use their brains for. Please for the love of something, anything really. Don't walk in front of machine gunner when they're firing. Those pretty tracers aren't your friends. I've been punished for a TK and plenty of Team Damage because as I mowed down the enemy my team decides well I'll charge infront of the machine gun. I can't stop firing instanly.
Same goes with snipers. Please don't bump us, stand on us. Stand in front of us. Think maybe he sees something I don't, why that could be the reason why he has the fancy scope thing. I've missed many shots because my team gets infront of me (although I really didn't miss just hit the wrong thing), or bumps me. I know sometimes it's unavoidable but still.
Finally, about the Red/blue tag glitch. It's really not that hard to tell the difference between the two armies. Although on SF the british and russian do look similar. And if your shooting someone in your own base and he's yelling CEASE FIRING!!! and isn't shooting back, good bet is he's on your side. Had my entire squad tk-ed by a tank because he saw my red tag and thus thought well that squad is the enemy because 5 of them have the tag glitch.

how about not walking in the middle of the streets like in karkand, and going from cover to cover?
How to deal with claymores...kind of...
If you are a medic, have someone hit the claymore while you stand out of its blast distance, then revive them. (I recommend standing around a corner)
If you have a GOOD medic in your squad, let them know (make sure they understand), then sacrifice yourself. Thus, a claymore only slows your squad by about 5 seconds, instead of taking out half the squad.

AMMO! Always keep an eye on how much rounds you have left in a clip. Nothing worse than coming up behind a squad of guys, all excited, and then find out you only have enough bullets left to drop one of them before they all turn round to find you fumbling about trying to re-load.
If Support, always change the belt on the PKM or whatever at any lulls in the action, even if only used 25 - 50%, as it takes awhile to do and besides its free.
Same for the DAO, takes an age to reload so do it after every exchange.
Snipers, if you have only one bullet in the clip left and no targets, change it, as guaranteed it will be the one time you need two shots to kill.
Medics, if you running about, carry the medic pack, cause if you take hits from unseen enemies, chances are you will heal yourself enough to get to cover.

Disagree on that one. If some enemy suddenly jumps around the corner youre much more happy with a gun in your hand than a medic bag. "Shooting" it wont exactly damage the enemy ya know...Captain_Slog wrote:

One guy did that to me...by the time he pulled out his gun (L85) and shot e (in the head), I had killed him. I had two health left thanks to the head shot, and I was playing Assualt for once. So, I just ran over the pack he dropped! Everyone won! Except the guy I killed.
Wow really good post mate, one thing I must say is don't forgot you can pick up that medic kit and revive your squad leader or member them being alive is probably a good thing.
Oh and spotting enemies makes everyones jobs alot easy obviously don't spam it but lets say a tank or apc one of the flyboys can help you out if they decide to and try thank you's mean alot.
Remember it is a game you play it for recreation or maybe stats but when you stop enjoying it and getting angry maybe its time to take a break. Tryto be gentlemanly and courteous to all players regardless of rank will improve the community and make the environment less retarded.
