Highest i've got is around 35MB/s using WASTE, however that's a darknet, highest off rapidshare was ~12MB/s, that was anything over 10MB/s is I <3 Uni internats

A HDD died on me, so now I'm reloading everything. Yes - some of these movies are terrible

some of those movies in blue ray are 10-20 gigs for one flick?

thats crazy, one gig per movie is good enough for me,
I dont have the money to buy 50000 TB of HDD space

A 720p rip is about 5GB, a 1080p rip about 10-15GB and a full blu-ray about 30-40GB

Now that I've moved into the HD era, even full DVDs look terrible. Imagine what a 700MB xvid rips looks like to me then. Might as well watch it on youtube then.

I have ~10TB of storage space, using ~4TB for movies

I don't backup the movies. Even if I loose a drive, the movies are downloaded quickly. For my important data I save to a RAID1 that backs up to 2 more PCs.
