A little quieter would help.

It looks like a damn stable platform though. I wonder how long the programming took

The whole balance recovery part is pretty sweet, though I wonder how many prototypes they broke by kicking over.

Pretty cool. Doubt it's meant for battlefield uses though. Only place I could think it useful is extremely rocky terrian if it can handle it. Other than that it shoud have wheels lol. The more moving parts, the more there is to break. No matter what it is made of a slightly inward bent leg would probably make it fall. If it does fall can it get up on it's own? Just doesn't seem practical but, I'm sure there is some good use for it. Like movig alot of ammo for a small squad ect. Wonder what it uses for power.

I think it would be awsome to put a m60 on its back, have a squad move in by remote to clear houses and what not. Keep them from having to go room to room.

Whats it supposed to do? Other than make lots of noise and not fall over.

It's probably note meant "to do" anything it's simply the human race advancing in the fields of robotic technology that will be utilized in the future.

Way to read, Skruples...

The page with the video on it wrote:

A nimble, four-legged, Cronenbergesque robot is so surefooted it can recover its balance even after being given a hefty kick. The machine, which moves like a cross between a goat and a pantomime horse, is being developed as a robotic pack mule for the US military.
I took the liberty of bolding the pertinent information for you.

It was only noisy outside, when they had it inside hooked to all the wires it wasnt noisey at all, so it was probably just the generator giving it power that was noisy.

Seems kind of stupid to me. They could have a pack mule with wheels that could probably be much quieter, faster, and stable.

That is fucking insane!!!!! Understand that the best thing seen before that would hit the deck if you blew on it too hard. Imagine what the next couple of generations will be capable of. Those biped robots in the MGS4 video are not too far off. That video fucking creeps me out! Couple that with a gyro system like in the Seqway and you won't even need four legs for balance.

Yeah, but that would be inexpensive.
