Ok So I thought I would make a new profile so I could unlock the new Sniper Rifle, Do I have to own the expansion pack to get those or am I able to get them on The Regular BF 2 ?
you can get them without sf. but to get the new sniper unlock you first have to unlock the m95.
LOL to get the L96A sniper rifle u do NEED the expansion pack!

moosey you do not need the expansion pack. I have the new sniper rifle and euro forces isn't out. so don't open your mouth without knowing what the hell your talking about.
and i'm not the only one that has that rifle. to get the new l96 sniper rifle alls you have to have first is the m95 unlocked and then another unlock to open up the l96

euro forces is not an expansion pack, spec forces is and you need spec forces to have the new sniper rifle.Blankwindow wrote:

To reinforce the point, you do need the EXPANSION PACK, i.e SPECIAL FORCES to unlock the second tier Sniper Rifle, just like all the other second tier weapons, and Euro Forces is NOT an expansion pack..

If that were true, then why do i know people who don't have SF and whos accounts have never logged onto a computer with sf installed yet they have the p90 and l96 unlocked? and you only need sf to unlock the oringal sf second tier unlocks. the p90 and l96 came with the patch 1.2 not part of SF.

Actually my friend has his pc over and he couldn't unlock any of the SF weapons (he doesn't own SF). So I had him login with his account on my PC which has SF play a round and leave.
Now he has the unlocks
I am not sure what the offical stance is, but this worked for us. I should start a side business where people feed their account info and i play a round and logout!

I've seen so many retarded fights over this. If you cant unlock it, get a friend with SF to play a round on your account.
If you can unlock it w/o SF, your special, be proud.
If you have no friends, you have bigger problems then getting the next unlock. You need to get a life.
If you have no friends with SF, go to clanmates or "online" friends, or PM me.
I'm not sure if you need SpecForces to unlock them, but Blank is right when he says the P90 and L96 are in the booster pack. You cannot get them in Special Forces, no matter what team/map your on.

That is a bunch of bull I spent 20 hours straight making it from Lance Corporal to Corporal just to get two unlocks to get the last Sniper Rifle. I play at a gaming zone were this guy gets all the patches, ugrades, and expansion packs for all his games. With two unlocks I couldn't even unlock the last one because it didnt even show up on the Unlock menu. Someone told me that you have to be at a certain rank in order to get certain weapons. So now I am day and night fighting to get the Seargant rank in order to get that awsome rifle.
