Help me find the gun i should buy.

So im buying my own gun guys.
I want an AR style gun (http://www.innovativetactical.com/catal … s91h09.jpg)

Here's what i need:

*Shoots .22 (not .223) (cant afford .223)
*M4 (AR) style
*Got to be legal in assault weapons ban states (im part of the unlucky 14% of states with assault weapon restrictions)

Real answers please.

I know, i am. But theres tons of rifles in the style im looking for. I was asking the forum if they can recommend one that shoots .22

good luck finding an AR platform in .22 Cal. Last Time I checked they didn't make one.. however you can buy an AR platform and buy a .22 conversion.. but that is a worthless investment.

Why would you say its a worthless investment?

A Basic AR is around 800-1200.

22 conversions run about 300-400.

300-400 buys alot of .223 rounds or even a reloading press and the materials to reload your own .223.

Then again its all in purpose.. you may find it usefull for shooting targets.. I use my AR on Coyotes...

Just get a Ruger 10/22 if you want a .22 auto which shoots.
Or an M4 airsoft if you want to look cool.
Or a mini-14 or real AR15 if you actually want a .223

that would just encourage ruger to make more mini's.

get a 10/22 and a Tapco T6 stock set. much cheaper than an AR with a conversion and more reliable.
