1) Yes, that'd be correct. The ones made after August '08 have the "Jasper" (IIRC) chip in them, which lowers your chance of getting the RRoD to near nothing._j5689_ wrote:

I keep mine vertical and 2 feet above the ground, and it's a Dec. '06 version. Never gotten the RRoD yet. I'm going to sell it and get an Elite this holiday season though, just in case.
2) Gears really is > Halo, although I prefer Halo's storyline tenfold.
Little update for those who wanted and those who did help out....Just played like 8 hours with the Box, Its still cold...so i guess the overheating problem is now mostly gone for the new console. This make me really happy. Been playing Fallout 3 btw...awesome game. Gotta love the head exploding and stuff

Yup, it does a lot of noise but the new intercooler seem to got the airflow the right way, at least methink...ill try witout it tomorrow and see if it really make that much of a diffenrence.mtb0minime wrote:

I mean, maybe the intercooler would be a good thing if you play like 6 or more hours on end. But if it's casual gaming for just a few hours, then I don't think you have to worry too much.
sexbawks owner here and for what its worth PS3 is a way better deal wireless internet built in BLUray Upgradable HDD only down side of it in my opinion is I hate the controller and the look of the sexstation but It will all be worth it when the 360 blu ray addon comes out
