the sun is pretty big, I'd assume it takes a while to load.

Have you setup your location\timezone?

I haven't used it before, but assume google needs that information to display your weather. lol

Not sure with Google gadgets, but usually you right click it  Settings > Zip code.

I use Google Desktop, and the only thing that it's used for (from what I can tell) is just finding stuff on your PC, instead of use the Search function. I primarily use it with Outlook at work, because it works a lot better than sorting and searching the traditional way.

I wasn't aware that you could set up weather gadgets as well. After a quick search, now I see what you mean, and that I don't know anything about it. Good luck.
