VPN Connections

My friend and I were trying to connect to each other threw a vpn connection. We had all the firewalls turned off including the routers and it didn't work for some reason (We couldn't see each other in our game). It worked a while back and we can't seem to figure out what is going on. Can anyone help us ?

Just get Hamachi. It tends to "just work".

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Needs more info. What program? Forwarded ports? Any error messages? Using the correct IPs?

Whatever your router, typically there are settings in addition to forwarding ports (i.e. allow L2TP , PPTP, or IPSec)

Me and lots of mates have used it a lot, never with Cod4 though so not sure.

RTS's, CS:S and others have all worked fine. Sometimes you have to put your hamachi IP in as your IP in the options in-game (had to do that with RA3).

And you are in the same network thing right?

Yes, just enter the hamachi IP as your LAN IP.

Hamachi is fucking leet.

Well, there was no error it just wouldn't let me or him connect. "It didn't even have a connection error message" Does anyone have a link to that program you all are talking about ? We played fine with Age of Mythology a year ago and now we can't connect at all.
