Mine blood runs in American military history(you can see why I find war interesting and originally wanted to be in the military), I also am the great(not sure how many greats) grandson of Lord Leonard Chase who snuck into North America during the American Revolution and changed his last name to Sargent(first name I forgot). I also derive from an Italian family who owns a vineyard.Canadianloser wrote:

For even more "isn't that just special" points; as near as we can tell, my family has had soldiers in every conflict the USA has been in since the country started.
I had a relative who fought for the Union, forgot if it was one of my Great(don't know how many greats) Granddads or Great(also don't know how many greats) Uncles though.SgtHeihn wrote:

sure, it satisfies me...you are the one talking about how fascinated we would be by your family history...but you cant even remember who/what/when/where.War Man wrote:

Does this satisfy you Parker?
Edit: Or do you need more?
Second Edit: I am part Irish as well
I only know a little of my ancestry. But my grandpa was a U.S. Navy sailor in world war 2, he joined at the age of 16.Parker wrote:

i had figured you had all this info somewhere that you would share with us all...hell, i thought you were going to drop some bomb like john browning was your grandpa or something...
generalities suck for this kind of thing.
So was my grandfather, infact he was a frogman (WWII version Navy Seals) and he helped found the Navy Seals. My other grandfather was in the Korean war. Other than that, I can't remember most of my family ancestry but I don't expect any of you guys to be fascinated by it.War Man wrote:

This weekend I'm going down to Florida to watch a Navy Seal demonstration in honor of my grandfather and 4 Navy Seals who were killed in Afghanistan. I'll post some pics of the demonstration when I get back.
You don't hear us crying about it like the Jews though!Kmarion wrote:
