Hey guys,
Some of you may have read my thread I made earlier when I asked if it wold be ok to do it. Basically I swtiched some components from one PC to another.
Here's my 2 PCs, and the new one I made with the two.
PC 1:
Intel Pentium 4 @3.00GHz (not a dual core)
Windows XP Pro 32bit
3GB Kingston DDR2 RAM (512MB+512MB+1GB+1GB)
ASUS EN8800GT 256mb
106GB Hard drive
Mobo is a P5B ASUS, not the deluxe, just the plain P5B
PC 2:
Intel Core 2 Duo E840 @3.00GHz
Windows Vista Home premium 32bit
4GB Corsair DDR2 (2GB+2GB, one not in use cause it's not 64bit)
BFG Nvidia GeForce 8500GT 512mb overclocked with RivaTuner
500GB hard drive
I don't know the motherboard, it's the Shuttle SG33 case with cooling and mobo
New PC:
Intel Core 2 duo E840 @3.00GHz
Windwos Vista Home premium 32bit
4GB Corsair RAM (1Gb not used...)
ASUS EN8800GT 256mb
500GB Hard drive
ASUS P5B mobo
Right so I made this new PC, I had no problems with the hard ware, I think every cable is connected, I double checked. Now when I turn it on, it does what my PC 2 did when it started up, it would turn on...I would see the LED and the fans would run. Then it would turn off, then back on and stay on. But nothing would happen on screen, I guess it's cause I added the hard drive from my overclcoked PC cause it was 500GB. A friend told me it's a bug with ASUS mobos and overclocked graphic cards. unfortunantly, I forgot to un-overclock it when I switch all my PC components. So now my PC is running but nothing is happening on screen. How do I fix this??? Do I have to reassemble my old PC, buy new thermal paste and all then un-overclock it and restart allllll over again?
Hope I don't. Hope yo guys know the answer to these problems. Thanks alot.
EDIT, +1 BTW to whoever makes my PC work
