Ever since taking out my vid card to clean it out, my mic boost does not work. Re-installed drivers for the Audigy 4, still no luck. Ideas?
Vista?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You static shorted one of the Mic boost capacitors?
You sure it's still plugged in properly? It's quite easy to bump nearby stuff when removing things.

Mic is working fine in xfire, skype, etc. However, in the advanced option under Mic will allow me to check 20db boost. Before I was able to do so and no one had issues hearing me.
Have you asked people if you sound any quieter? IE in the new driver you installed has it enabled by default.
Yes, they say I am so quiet in Vent they have to strain to hear what I'm saying.
Mic boost is nothing but a software boost to the microphoneTheDonkey wrote:

And have you tried going through the Creative settings?

Looking through Creative settings I have it synched to the Control Panel, not sure if that makes any difference.
