One More HD Question

I have about 30 gigs worth of files i want to save but i have to wait till i go to a friends house to copy over my music. So this is my question. Can i partition the drive. Have one partition with my files and another partition, then go to my friends house and still copy over my music?

If i didn't word it right i'll try to type this again.

Yes. You can either shrink from within Vista (not XP) or from a linux CD
