I've just got my 'Grey Brick" Game Boy. Still works fine. Got some games for it lying around somewhere to, Battleships, Kirby's Dreamland, and two Pokemon games, (Blue and Yellow, a friend of mine left them at my house.)

Anyways, I personally vote DS, as I find the controls on the PSP to be terrible, that little nub/joystick thing doesn't work as well as it seems(keep in mind this me, not you, so dont go flaming over it). Also a variety of series I greatly enjoy on DS, like Advance Wars, Harvest Moon(think theres one on PSP, can't recall) and theres always Phantom Hourglass which I loved. PSP has some good games, but not a whole lot. IF you mod the PSP, you'll be fine.
