What should I look for, I know theres output speed measured in FPS's but I don't know how good is for example 350FPS. Then there clip capacity-is 40 bullets capacity enough or do I need a clip with 300 bullets capacity. Would like it to have as much metal parts as possible. Was thinking of Thompson/MP40 but the clip capacity is really low or maybe the G36C. Any better recommendations? I'm also putting on a red dot/scope. I'm willing to spend 200€ max on the gun. Also it needs to be battery powered.

Thanks for any input you can give me!

G36 with a hi-cap mag is an immense weapon. Great FPS, lots of bbs, almost all metal construction. Totally upgradable.

Anything by Tokyo Marui, really. They make great stuff for all price ranges. If they're too much, look for Jing Gong/Echo 1/Golden Bow guns. They're budget, but they work really well, and always pack a hell of a punch out of the box. Check http://redwolfairsoft.com/, they ship globally.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Freezer a buddy of mine said I should avoid Tokio Marui-too many plastic parts. (?) He recommended systema PTW series but those are really expensive. Thanks for the link I'll check it out now.

Edit: I only found 2 battery operated guns on that site (?)

You want to avoid plastic parts at all cost, especially in the gearbox, if there are plastic parts in the gearbox expect them to get ripped to shreds.

Edit:

I can't the website, I only speak English

It depends.  What are you looking to use the airsoft gun for?  Casual target shooting, having matches with other people/friends, or a more professional setting? (tournaments and such)

I found another one that is made by Tokia marui and its supposed to be full metal:

The clip only holds 60 BBs but I heard low/mid cap clips are better than high cap ones. Is it worth paying so much more?

If you're looking for something little less professional, simple, and cheap, requiring minimal maintenance and so on, get that Jing Gong. It's mainly plastic, but they have quite good feel anyhow. They are the best entry-level (or "mess around with-level" if you so wish) AEGs on the market. Won't break very easily, have some rough edges, and have extremely good out-of-the-box performance and price:performance ratio.

If you want something that'll let you customize everything, have full industrial standardization support, feel really good and sturdy and will last for 15 years, get the TM. If you need the TM over the JG, you would probably know.

AFAIK, Systema make airsoft guns for the police as training weapons, and they cost about 1500USD a piece. Slightly beyond what an airsoft beginner needs.

No only americans use FPS (feet per second), we still use the real deal (m/s). From there on it's easy to see how good a gun is. Seeing as the speed of sound = 340m/s, most pistols fire at around 200-300m/s and say the M16 fires it's bullets with a muzzle velocity of around 900m/s. So you can use those references as benchmarks to see how powerful (or weak) an Airsoft gun is.

Actually all airsoft guns are measured in FPS, even in the UK. And as a reference, the fastest airsoft BB you'll get from a high end sniper is a little over 500FPS, and 350FPS for an automatic is pretty average.

If you're going to get an airsoft gun, don't get a cheap one. I got a G36 on eBay for like $40 after shipping and I'm regretting it. They advertised it shooting at like 250-300fps but it's pretty damn weak. I unloaded a clip onto my leg at like a half a foot away and it didn't even hurt, I tried shooting a doorknob at the end of the hallway and since it's so weak, all the shots just curve away. Try and shop around a bit and look for a good one, don't be cheap like I was, I regret getting the thing and now it's just a decoration.

I've got a G36C that I used two times with two hi-cap mags, a bunch of bbs, a red dot, a fore-grip, a large battery that I strap to the side, 3 small batteries, a universal charger (charges small and large batteries), a little plastic grenade that just holds more bbs, and a carrying bag that I'm looking to get rid of...

But like what Frankie said, you have to spend a lot if you want a good one. Mine is all (or almost all) metal parts on the inside and some on the outside, and a strong polymer on the rest of the body. It's real heavy, so you know it's a good piece of equipment.

Mp5 win
(it doesnt come with anything but a cheap forgrip(sp.)

my friend has this with the lowcap magazines, so he never has to wind them (hes right, they are nice like that), right now hes just using a foregrip that came with it, and iron sights... Bottom line, its godly (for a $175 weapon) Its spread is REALLY small, I think it got chrono'd (speed rated) at Airsoft GI before it was shipped at 420-430 fps

Its also a solid weapon, the battery is in the buttstock, which is nice because the weight is on your shoulder, and it just has a nice feel to the weapon

OMG, avoid cybergun at all costs. They are truly crap. TokYo Marui is good, classic army, JC/Jing Jong/etc., and ICS are all pretty good. Tokyo Mauri though is the best. A gun 350-400 FPS is usually good (Most fields have a limit of 400-450 anyways). But really do you research before you buy a gun learn how to clean it, grease it, adjust hop up etc. A gun with mostly metal and wood is going to get costly. Anyways here's another good site http://www.uncompany.com/ they are from China I believe but they are good. Choose AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) to choose obviously the electric gun section.

Idk if this is allowed but a good forum is http://www.airsoftretreat.com/ .

I hope the Cybergun works out for you.  In the future, I would go with Tokyo Marui or Classic Army.  JG/GB/Echo 1 are good mid-level AEGs.

I also recommend a JG/Echo 1.  I have the JG G36C and oh my god it hurts.  350 FPS with .2g BBs is very painful.  Make sure you get the highest quality BBs possible.  High quality guns need high quality BBs or else they will jam.  Try and get a high-cap wind-up mag.

If you have the money to spend though, Classic Army and Tokyo Marui are regarded as the best in the business.

Ye I got the highest quality BBs. I was also thinking of getting JG G36C which is around 100€ cheaper than the gun I ordered. What I didn't like was that it was metal/plastic combo.
Classic army looks to have top quality guns but they are a bit expensive. Most of them start at 400€ (526$)
