Done!
Psion Series 5 FTW!
I have one of those still lying around somewhere!
After my dad used it I had quite some fun with that thing.
Not sure if that qualifies as a netbook. A UMPC, but not a netbook.
I have Asus EEE PC 904HD
3930K | H100i | RIVF | 16GB DDR3 | GTX 480 | AX750 | 800D | 512GB SSD | 3TB HDD | Xonar DX | W8
OK, adding you now - while on my EEE on the train! 3G FTW
typing this with 3G as well.CapnNismo wrote:

Isn't it beautiful technology? I wish I could solder. I'd probably then do internal 3G. That and touch screen. I was standing at the station when I read your post ...
and now typing while i wait for my next train at the platform. i love netbooks!!!
What about when combined with a mobile internet solution?CapnNismo wrote:

Anything from the EEE PC line is dirt cheap. I would recommend something from the 900 series. Stay away from the 16GB XP model unless you want to spend some money and upgrade the SSD to an SLC-type.FatherTed wrote:

The Acer Aspire One is also really cheap, but I hate the touchpad on it. It also lacks the multi-touchpad that the EEE PC 900 and newer line has.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Yeah, but I've got an odd feeling that, if I start a "Psion 5 Owners Club" thread, it won't get past the one post.max wrote:

PC world aren't doing too badly on the EEE PC prices tbh, about £269 er something, so you could look there.FatherTed wrote:

Or is that just me with my 10% discount from an... "inside contact".
Makes me feel like a supaa spyyy tbh.

Actually, ASUS did a rather wide-ranging price slash just recently across the whole EEE PC line to make room for newer models that have been releasing pretty much each week.ilinear wrote:

I think my addiction is getting a bit out of control, though. I had the EEE out and surfing the Net during the 15-20 minutes I was waiting for the visa application office here in my district of Vienna to open. Do I have a problem? Do I need to join Netbook Owners Anonymous?
I do that with my 17".CapnNismo wrote:

EDIT: This EDIT is made from the bathroom.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Except with you, you're expected to do it. You're the biggest nerd out of all of us.
