Yeah but some people don't have routers or are not willing to spend money on an external firewall. Would you at least agree its better to have software firewall or nothing at all?

Always useful to have some more software for free. I always turn it off when it comes to torrents though as zonealarm kills my router during prolonged torrents.

Zone Alarm has problems with the product key sometimes. I had to fiddle around for ages to register my purchased copy, and eventually just uninstalled and gave someone else the key.

Ummm, the free version of Zone Alarm does all the firewall stuff you could want? Does this just add the security suit?

Every time I update it it asks if I want to upgrade.... I get the feeling that this won't work after the next upgrade.

Otherwise ZA is good shit, the only think I don't like is they make it harder and harder to find the link to the free download for the basic firewall every time they update....
