This is actually a really interesting thread to reopen. Whoever said years was right. I think its going to masivelly played for at least another 4 years. A lot of people still play BF42 (Including me) and you know how old that game is.

Quake III Arena is coming up on 9 years old and many people still play that game. BF2 is more popular, and not as old. I don't think it will ever become obsolete. There's always gonna be some players who stick around forever.
lol I played unreal tournament 1 the other day and there was 2 people online still surprised me though
