So I'm doing my homework and I see a question that pops up which really made me go "wtf?!?."

Can anyone answer me this question(I'm sure a few of you have watched this movie).

'In the movie PSYCHO, what was it that caused the villain to stab the woman?'

he was schizophrenic?  i think.

well he killed her (and her lover) because she was a hypocrite
