Woke up with Left 4 Dead on my doorstep. Stuck disk in and waited, nothing happened. But ever 15 seconds or so, beside the mouse cursor the disk icon would appear for a second. When I go into My Computer it just says "DVD-RAM drive" when I double click that, my computer stop's responding until I CTRL+ALT+DEL

I am trying COD4 with the exact same problem, is there anything I can do... or is my drive fucked?

Far Cry 2 works. But COD4 and L4D don't... wtf?

EDIT - Cod4 now works, and L4D makes a slight weird noise when in the drive, it's like it's rubbing against something.

I doubt any dust or something will stop one disk work, and the others work.

It's possible, depends what information is needed and where it is on the disc. Is it IDE or SATA? If IDE, try a new cable, I've had IDE cables randomly fuck up before.
