Hi there, it appears that the FN key on my laptop is stuck on as all the function keys are on when the button is not pressed down. I have just fitted a new keyboard as the last one broke and the keyboard IS in properly. I would like to know if there is some way of resetting the keyboard. I have also taken the key off and cleaned it.

Thanks

Has the ribbon cable been damaged at all?

I'd deattach/reattach the key if it's not what CapnNismo says, and it's 100% properly plugged in.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Well, i got it from eBay and the guy who sold it to me has a laptop parts shop and he said he's tested it, however there is a slight crack in the ribbon cable.
