Back in May, two thrillseekers sneaked into the Burj Dubai — currently the tallest building in the world even though it's not finished yet — and set the world base jumping record (illegally). The footage of the jump from the top is worth a watch by itself, but the story of the pair's experience makes it even better. It's the kind of stunt reminiscent of high-wire walker Philippe Petit, who infiltrated New York City's World Trade Center towers so he could walk on a rope between the two.

Yeah I was just discussing this with a friend. If making a 600+meter high building is so difficult, how the fuck can you just say, "Oh, well Dubai has the tallest building in the world, so just to out do them, let's double it". Fucking oil sheiks. What's the delivery date on the mile high building?
