Here's an actual conversation in my last D&D session this last weekend:

Mage: "I think these are Purple Worm feces?"
Ranger: "I don't think we should be hanging around here."
Fighter: "Really, what's in them?"
Mage: "I cast 'Detect Magic' on the feces."
DM: You find nothing on the surface of the feces.
Fighter: "Damit." <starts taking off armor>
Ranger: <palm-to-face>

I think D&D = Dungeons and Dragons, and he's talking about the fun thing that happened when he was playing it, and he assumes that cos we're all hardcore nerds we'd also have many fun stories about shit that happens whilst we played Dungeons and Dragons, because we all surely play Dungeons and Dragons

I pity whoever made that 'Purple Worm' Wikipedia entry. They surely must have stared into the gaping hole in their soul whilst writing that; nothing quite confirms how pointless your existence is like writing Wikipedia entries for fantasy beasts from a role-playing game.
