Hi guy's I need you help.

I need help with my speaker set up.

I've got the Z-5500 currently and I want to add 2 speaker towers to my speaker setup.

Ive got a soundcard that supports the 7.1 setup but the speaker towers are  normal speakers for a normal radio set so there's no way I can just plug them into my Pc.

These are the things

Do you mean you have red and black wires that would normally go into a radio, needed to now go into your pc?

Well, you could rip your Z5500 apart and plug the sub in the extra speakers to the sub output, and the trebs to a couple of the sattelites.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Then you gotta find an Amp, I'd personally go to my local, neighborhood Thrift store, and find a smallish Bookshelf audio system with an AUX In, then go buy a 3.5mm MALE MALE Cable.

You can connect it to a jack, go to your local dick smiths, but then your speaker would no be powered, hmmmmmm

Get yaself a small unit from ebay, i have a huge one from back in the 70's that dad got, i use iit heaps, hooked up my comp, TV, and ipod dock to its 7.1 sound system. Works for me

You'll need a stereo amp/reciever and a 3.5mm headphone to cinch / RCA.

Use the big speakers are your front ones, use the z5500 as center and surround. It's not a pretty solution. You'll need to control the volume though windows. It will take some time to get it set up properly.

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

This.

Basically, it's going to be a pain in the ass. Those speakers are meant to be hooked up to an amp/receiver, and won't work directly with your Logitech speakers. Follow what max said to get it hooked up, but in my opinion, you're almost better off just hooking them up separately out of your pc. Then you can have the option of big stereo sound or surround.

Or, you could put them in parallel with the speakers you currently have for extra power, using a 3.5 mm splitter. The signal would then be sent to the Logitech speakers and to the future amp/receiver you'll be getting.

Just a few thoughts.
