once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Newegg FTW.
I've never actually gone shopping on Black Friday. Fuck that.

On Black Friday, you can traditionally find LOTS of electronics for sales at stupidly cheap prices. Best Buy normally is the king there, but this year due to the financial crisis, the ads aren't all that hot.
Like two years ago, though, my friend got an HD capable LCD monitor (like 24") for a third of the price at BBY on Black Friday.
It's a good time to catch sales, but you gotta be up around 3am to 4am and stand in line if you want to be first in the door before all the good shit is gone.

sounds annoying
hopefully the recession will sort it out (I'm also banking on it hopefully making Christmas, overall, a less painful experience this year, in general)

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I'm going to do this one time and that happens to be this year. I don't think I'll do it ever again, and I figured: what the hell?
I typically think it's crazy, but I feel like being crazy.

Dear God please let my karma one day reach 100, whether it be tomorrow or 1000 years in the future i want it to happen.
Basically even though VAT is gonna be reduced to 15% starting on the 1st December, the price of Tobacco, Alcohol () and Petrol will remain the same, and they're doing that by increasing the duty on those things. I know it's gay but you gotta realise that whilst these guys want people to buy more shit to keep the economy going, they also need to make sure revenue from tax doesn't drop too low and so they still need to keep those three things at ridiculous prices just so that they're still in pocket

A true sign of a recession is when hundreds of people line up to buy expensive shit they don't need on credit.
