Any overclocks?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

neg, everything is stock.

when i get some work in over xmas, i'll buy a new case (this one is a POS, just serves to house everything), a fan or two and a F7P, then i'll overclock.

What RAM type? DD3? DDR2? 200 or 240pin?

Or, what mobo?

If you run an E7200 at stock, you have DDR2. And what's this 200-pin you're talking about?

assuming it's DDR2 and some normal chipset, 800MHz will give a max OC of 3.8GHz. OFc you can OC the ram a little too

SO-DIMMs. You know, the little stubby ones.

Usually found in laptops or iMacs or suchlike.

lol I didn't even know they still made 800MHz memory @ cas6. That's like, super slow latencies there.

Also I'd say: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130429

EDIT: cheaper @ OcUK http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … 20TwinX%20(2x2GB)

I wouldn't buy that tbh

Corsair, OCZ, G.Skill, Crucial...they're nearly all the same to me.  G.Skill is often cheapest but rave reviews about them are all over the place.  I would still go for any of the other 3 though.

edit: take a look...get relatives to ship to you

Compare the prices to the Crucial ones though...

CAS5 @ >£30 or CAS4 @ <£30 - I know which I'd buy...

Oops. Ignore that. 4GB vs 2GB.

My personal fav OCZ Plat or Gold; they a budget series too which are decent if you consider pricing over performance.
Not sure what speed you are looking for but here is a search

Do you buy in Euros or Pounds, 'Ted?

If Pounds - definitely hold off - VAT will be dropping to 15% at start of next month!

Then wait. You'll save 2.13%.

(well, assuming on-line retailers pass the drop on (which I reckon they will (there's no reason for them not too)))

So they have. I'd expect Dabs to do likewise very soon then.
