My cpu fan is gonna give soon so all i want to do is replace just it but all i find are damn 3 pins and not 4 pins. the 4 pins i find are molex...

are they compatible or do the not make 4 pin fans just by themselves so u have to buy a whole damn heatsink to get one?

need help, fan size needs to be 70mm (stock AM2 heatsink)

PWM (4pin) fans run on 3pin mobo headers, 3pin fans run on PWM mobo headers. For molex you'll need an adaptor

It's the PWM line. It regulates the fan speed

Not really, no. The fan will run, but if the BIOS is set to 4-pin, it won't regulate any speed.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

...and therefore should run at 100% all the time. Which is a Good ThingTM.
