So 2008 was most definitely the year of the console. There were dozens of good games that came out. Halo 3, GoW2, Fallout 3, L4D (not my personal favorite), MGS4, LBP, etc etc. Well do you think that the gaming industry will come back and appease PC gamers with some great new games and not console to PC ports in 09 or 10? I really want a game similar to the original Ghost Recon, not even the expansions, just GR (and not GR2). But I doubt they will ever make that again.

Anyway do you think that this semi-trend of moving away from the PC will be reversed or will it continue and what is on your wish list for a new game in 2009?

According to a more recent interview by 1up.com with CEO and president of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, the game's astounding arsenal will feature over 650,000 weapons. The addition of 150,000 new weapons came from the inclusion of alien technology.

For starters Halo 3 was released in 2007.

also not many "great" games came out this year, it's been pretty shitty tbh.

And until 1 company takes charge of the PC industry and starts throwing money at developers, they're going to keep going for exclusive deals on consoles because it makes more money.

The industry has stopped caring about the consumers and the games, and started only caring about pulling in shitloads of cash from a bunch of sheep.

Good for them, bad for us.

Yeah, it BETTER be good, considering they cancelled Aliens: Colonial Marines. All that funding better go towards Borderlands now.

Operation Flashpoint 2
I loved flashpoint's playstyle; hopefully they don't follow the trend and alienate hardcore sim players by making this game too accessible. Time to practice sniping in preparation for next year.

I think that I am going to get Diablo III but I don't know if I will get anything in the FPS catagory. It just seems the most money for FPS is being thrown to console. And if SW:TOR comes out Q4 2009 I'll get that too.
