Well you disconnect your PC from power and case buttons from mobo, ground yourself, locate the two "Power up" pins and touch them both with a screwdriver. This will make contact and power on your PC. Ofc the screwdriver must be metallic not some from a surprise bag.
Ok, I wanted to revisit this thread because I never had a chance to do this, and now that I want to...
Can you tell me what you mean by "Disconnect your PC from power"? I understand the disconnecting the case buttons from the mobo part. And these "Power up" pins, they are on the mobo, psu or? And, puttin a hand somewhere on the computer case would be grounding myself safely right?
I kinda lack experience with this in case u haven't noticed
If you're not sure on the grounding yourself part, get a few friends in and tell them to hold hands so you all get shocked.
Anyway... You have to take the plug out your PSU/switch PSU off at the wall, go inside your case, find a little cable that's got a black rectangle on the end. It should have something printed in white like "PWR" or "POWER" or such. Also, where it's plugged into the mobo there'll be the same thing. Take that cable out,
THEN PUT THE FRIGGIN' PSU CABLE BACK IN and the two spikes that you took it out of, complete the circuit by touching a screwdriver on them.
If you're confused just ask, I'll go into more depth/make my post makes sense if needed.
