If you have too much spare time and they closed down “your” server what do you do?
Start “One” up you self!
One.se used to be the most played/trafficked bf2 server there was but it was closed down when the 1.2 patch was released and that was it.
The server had it all and I figured why not start up again so I did but I could not find a good gaming host in Sweden but there was a lot of them in the US. The choice fell on Branzone and it’s located in Chicago so all US and Canadians should be able to play there. If you have ADSL and an 8 Mbit connection you should be able to make it from Europe as well with a ping off around 120 (have a 10 Mbit my self and I get 100 in ping), max ping is 150.
The server is as “massive” as it gets, a “full” 64 player (no reserved slots) running on a Dual Opteron 246 or faster, Map Karkand (just like One.se used to be) VOIP of course and battle recorder (ver 1.21).
Look at is as a “kind of gift from Sweden” to all you guys who post on this great (the best I think) forum. Last but not least, Thanks Chuy!
