My friend broke his arm when he was tripping and didn't go to the doctor for 2 days.
It's really not shit. It keeps things nice and cool and looks pretty good. It doesn't have the functionality of a P182, but that only matters like once a year.Jenspm wrote:

I swear I see the words P182 in every post of yours
And yes, I regularly make love to my P182. The thermal paste is man made, if you catch my drift.
P182 is a mighty good case, I agree.
NO, wtf. I honestly just ordered all my computer shit, including that case not even 4 hours ago. Is there anyway I can use that promocode now?
Can some one explain?
Its a case, its a box that holds components... Why is it worth $90?

If you've ever used a good quality case you'd see why they are worth the $$$. Yea you can get a case for $20-30 dollars but it won't compare to a quality case.VicktorVauhn wrote:

Edit: My case WAS 20... My computer will play games and surf the internet?

you could also just lay your components on the floor and it would still play games and surf the internet so why waste the $20? A good quality case will be sturdier, usually quieter (less vibration) keep components cooler with better airflow (not as big a deal if you run stock but if you OC it's a must) and in general better layout for components and wire management.VicktorVauhn wrote:

Because they need proper grounding, and protection from dust/dirt/spills/falling things.jaymz9350 wrote:

Otherwise I would have.
really if you are happy with a cheap case that's fine for you. It's like any other item, some people see the need for the higher end and some don't.VicktorVauhn wrote:

Personally i wouldn't use a cheap ass case ever again.
Edit: the a pc will run perfectly fine outside of a case, it is grounded fine through the PSU.

i agree. really, why is it shit? cable management. that's about the only argument anyone could possibly have against the 900.phishman420 wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Well I'd argue it freaking ugly but that's just my opinion (I think i'm one of maybe 3 people on earth who seem to think this though)haffeysucks wrote:

I've never seen the p182 up close, but looking at the pics on newegg makes me think that the cooling is not equal to the 900.
I think the p182 is the other end of the spectrum aiming at quietness over cooling.Volatile wrote:

I honestly am just asking what a good case does for you... I understand when there is a PSU included. Airflow, sure... but is it that hard for a cheap case to copy a proven layout? Is it even something that is that hard to get right anyways? I would guess if anything the difference in airflow is really just the fans it comes with, and those are really cheap to replace.jaymz9350 wrote:

I was just questioning again because "if you used one you'd know..." isn't much of an explanation.
And as far as I have seen the motherboard has contacts that ground it to the case as well as just the PSU.
It looks like a russian strip club.haffeysucks wrote:

@Vicktor: It's awesome because:
- Great airflow, even with few fans at low speed.
- One of the quietest cases you can get. 3 layered doors are ftw.
- One of the best looking cases you can get (a lot of Lian Li's beat it though)
- Great cable management
- Great build quality
- 2 different thermal sections (mobo area and PSU area at the bottom)
- It doesn't have those fucking sharp edges that the 900 has.
quoting SPCR: "The P182 is not better in cooling or silencing capability than the last production version of its immediate predecessor, the P180b. However, this is saying a lot. Straight out of the box, without modifications, the P182 has greater potential for a very quiet system to be assembled even by a novice DIY computer builder. The average user will find that in combination with reasonably chosen components, the P182 provides a quality and level of noise that is unachievable in any other case without modification. Its only real competition may be Antec's own P150 or Solo."

With super long video cards so common, I prefer chassis with a bit of support.
VGA bras, I shall call them.

I do have experience and let me tell you, taking acid while in severe pain is a recipe for disaster. It would be an exceptionally stupid thing to do and any suggestion that it would help shows an almost unbeleivable level of naivety.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

I did offer more reasons than "if you used one you'd know" but since you missed that here you go again (with a few more) sturdiness, cooling, noise, layout, not cutting your hand on the thin exposed metal, I know both my coolermasters came with enough extra screws for 3 pc's.VicktorVauhn wrote:

I used to think it was dumb to spend more than about $30 on a case until I did, I bought an original CM stacter for about $180 and it changed my mind.
True but the as said before a pc will run fin outside a case, many people have and do run caseless pc's (and I had one board that I had to cover all ground points to the case for it to run), or ones made of wood or acrylics which don't ground.VicktorVauhn wrote:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!1
I wish I had read the paper earlier today. Fry's was selling P180s for $50 without any MIRs! I couldve sold that on ebay for an $80 profit
