Long story short -

Recently moved and trying to get my laptop back up and running ... the problem - the current secured network I have on my Vista laptop that I use to auto connect isn't connecting and I need to get into it but I've forgotten the password

Is there a way to reset it

Should be a small indented button somehwere on the back of your router, just hold it down you will see some light activty indicating something has happened. You will have to set the router back up again (new password, security, etc). Make sure you have an Ethernet cable to plug right into it.

You don't need to reset the router if you remember the admin password for it (not the wireless key). You just connect to the routers IP by ethernet and then check what the wireless key is and enter it on your laptop.

exactly. I have to do this every time I put a new device on mine as i can't ever remember my password.
