I have met this quite a few times after the 1.20 patch. I got the resupply point when I threw an ammo bag to a teammate who is just being killed.

I have. I was like wtf? Oh well free points. lol
There are no honest points now with the 1.2+ noobified patches. I get ammo points off of dead guys all the time. They have to be fresh kills though. If it is a rotting corpse the body just makes some spastic movement.
This did not surprise me as EA wanted noobs to get as many points as possible so they would "feel better about themselves" being noobs and all.
That is why they jacked up the guns, made them simple to get kills with, let you get points off of dead guys, can't miss AA (which I kind of like), made smart mines and claymores that only kill enemies, and added lag when one is prone so enemies can't get up and run away from arty, nades, knives, etc and become free points!
Heck, this weekend I was on a server with my 2 sons this weekend and my 7 yr old leans over and says, " Dad, how are you getting all those arty kills?" I looked up and even though I was not commanding, the server kept saying my name as getting all the kills with arty. I looked at the squads and someone else was commander, but I was getting credit for it all. Needless to say, I got gold that 64 man round.

always throw a pack on a dead dude. you get a point, and if hes revived he has more ammo. everyone wins.
