Why is it always when you explode enemy armor and the friendly who is too close to it in the first place, gets tk and pun when it explodes. Is blowing armor worth some collateral damage? I want to hear what the BF2 community has to say. I personally think 1-2 is acceptable.

I voted 1-2, but I would say 1. If the tanker is good, then maybe...maybe 2. I hate tk punishers.
If a tank kill costs us 4 tickets, but costs the enemy 2 tickets, that is better than
the tank killing 5 of us before it ties, costing us 5 tickets, and the enemy 2.
its a simple ratio problem. if the tank is going to kill 5 or more people before somebody else drops it, kill it with 3-4 friendly kills.
bear in mind as well, that if you see the tank, and dont kill it, it will probably kill you. if your friendlies are that close to the tank, they will probably be killed too.
numerous times i have ran up on a tank C4 ready, to have another spec ops blow his C4. way not his fault, i never punish for that.
