After formatting a new hard drive I remembered just how win steam is, especially on a new hard drive. Just get all the downloads going and wait, very nice. No disks to deal with, you don't have to be there to keep the process going, and you can do them all at once.
The only steam games I own were made by valve. It's nice to be able to bypass bothering with the disk, but why would I want steam running when i'm playing something that doesn't even need it, like CoD4 or Fallout 3.
