She could have been killed at the next set of lights in a head on, and because this man rammed her before that happened she was saved.

You can't possibly expect to know what God's plan really is, can you? This was just part of it.
And saying this guy is a liar and didn't hear the voice of God, well, God's spoken to plenty of other people you've heard about; Jesus, Moses, etc etc.
