You can be charged with assault and battery for slapping someone with a wet noodle. The "weapon" doesn't matter, which makes for these funny cases. All that matters is that her right to not receive unwanted touches was violated

I've heard horror stories of cops who can't legally arrest abusive husbands b/c the wife is too afraid to press charges...and then shit like this happens.




In highschool my friend got suspended and had a teacher try to press assault charges because he threw...wait for it....a single nacho, laden with cheese, that struck her on the shoulder at lunch.

Suspension? Sure.  Make him pay to dryclean the outfit? Fine.  Involving the already over-burdened legal system with this sort of shit?  Gimme a break...
