X-530, X-540 or T6100?

I basically have a £50 present from me nan, and I can't just get money so it's a 5.1 speaker set for under £50.

Which if these three are technically better?

If they're all the same, then I can just pick which has better features (Wall mounting) or looks prettier.

Subwoofer of all of those suck. But Logi has better high/mid tones. With Logi the more you pay the more you get.

I don't know any of the technicalities of speaker systems, but I've got the X-540 and it's good enough for me. It can go louder than I'll ever need it to be, and the sub is great, IMO. Plus that remote thing is pretty handy, although it does get in the way on rare occasions.

Lol you sound exactly like me when I thought 5€ speakers sound awesome. Had those Creative speakers and honestly the suck hairy balls.

But I've got the Logitech ones

I really do appreciate the sound of a great system, but for the low price, this set is definitely a good one. Besides, not like I'm having raves in my tiny apartment. I just need something that I'll turn up a little bit every once in a while for some good music or intense gaming.

I say, get a good 2.1 over a crappy 5.1.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You're not gonna get a 'good' 5.1 system for under £50 quid, get a mid-range semi-decent 2.1 set instead. You'll get shite for £50 in the 5.1 world.

Also I find Creative 2.1 sets to be better than logitech's equivelant (actually I find all their sets to be better but they cost a fair bit more usually and Logitech are by no means bad).

Of those the I-Trigue ones, good if you want heavy bass for music, it's going to lose clarity in things like gaming though (this is me being seriously anal about it BTW, they're perfectly fine for 99% of people), if it's going to be primarily for gaming you'd be better off dumping the sub and get a gigaworks 2.0 set, much better clarity good bass (no rumbling drones just nice strong thumps), if you REALLY want a sub look at the gigaworks 2.1 set, it's pricey but one of very few that gets clear bass from a big sub without just turning everything into an annoying sounding mess.

You heard wrong. I have both (but there are actually 2 5.1 digital systems they do, I have a Z-5300 and a Z-2300 and a few of my friends have the Z-5500 sets - the Z-5300 is the best buy - digital 5.1 is good, 550W is a bit unnecessary). Both sound pretty nice, very nice for the money.
