http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sake
"Sake is also referred to in English as rice wine. However, unlike true wine, in which alcohol is produced by fermenting the sugar naturally present in fruit, sake is made through a brewing process more similar to that of beer. To make beer or sake, the sugar needed to produce alcohol must first be converted from starch. But the brewing process for sake differs from beer brewing as well, notably in that for beer, the conversion of starch to sugar and sugar to alcohol occurs in two discrete steps, but with sake they occur simultaneously. Additionally, alcohol content also differs between sake, wine, and beer. Wine generally contains 9-16% alcohol and most beer is 3-8%, whereas undiluted sake is 18-20% alcohol, although this is often lowered to around 15% by diluting the sake with water prior to bottling."

Sake beer? Never heard of it. Are you drinking it cold or warmed up?
No I'm home now, it was warm in those small glasses. Like half a bottle or something. Trying new things is funKEN-JENNINGS wrote:

It's good when you are at a sushi place eating lots of fish. It's fun to stay there like 2 to 3 hours just eating and drinking.
Was just at a restaurant having loads of different shit, came to over 130 dollars for 3 of us (one woman). Crispy Duck, Peking chicken, sweet chilly beef strips, chicken and sweetcorn soup. Nice.
Saki is fucking disgusting.
uhhh, its less then 20%.... wiskey/vodka/ect is about 40%Locoloki wrote:

There was this Real Ale and Cider festival at one of the uni bars last week and the name slips me but this bitter was 10.3% or something, I was fucked after 4 pints and a pint of this dry cider.

Normal beer is about the same...
Actually a good amount of beers that are 9% or 10%, Chimay, Affligem Triple , Brother Thelonious, Duvel, ect, ect... Sake beer is 3-8% not all are 8 percent thats just the higher range... and the higher range of beers is 10% or 11%...
Its about normal/average from the numbers given.
