BF2S Forums Admin kicked me for going for Expert Explosive

My point is this:

If you are using certain tactics that are otherwise legal with the sole purpose of getting an award, not with winning or fowarding the game

how is that different than

If you are using certain tactics that are otherwise legal with the sole purpose of increasing your score, not with winning or fowarding the game

if those are the tactics that you use even when you are not trying to get the EO award, great. if you were using those tactics with the sole purpose of using them to get the award, shame on you.

besides, what is the good of getting an award if thats what you have been striving to do? awards are not goals, they are achievements.

The original poster was unfairly treated for using perfectly acceptable tactics. Not stat padding, not taking advantage of an exploit - just a fine example of teamwork to win the game and simultaneously achieve a badge...nothing wrong with that IMO.

I still don't know why people have such a problem getting around claymores. All you need is a medic around to revive you after you eat it. 95% of the time people drop clay's where they do not intend to be, so it can protect a flag for them. Easy points for a medic as part of a team.

But to the guy who got booted, I agree with you, the admin was wrong. Whatever the sever gods say, that admin was a cry baby. I bet anything he was on the SAS team, right? You would not have anywhere near 37 kills if the SAS wised up and stopped swarming that flag, or moved as a squad to take it. I guess I'm stat pading when I'm on a good organized team that fights against a team of retards. You know, the guys that try over and over to cap the flag that is super easy to defend (not even in squads, just randomly charging), all while ignoring the 5 other flags that are unguarded.

On the map in question the side that the orginal poster is on must cause the other sides tickets to drop to 0.  Unless there is a time limit, which does not appear to be the case, that is the only way his side can win.  To make that happen his side must hold atleast 1 flag for the entire game and make the enemy die faster than the friendlies.  His tactics to accomplish this, forward the game as it is meant to be on that particilar map.  He may have changed how he played this map given the circumstances of the new patch, but he was playing to win given the way the map is setup.

There are several other ways in which to get to the flag in question which neither the poster "defending player" nor the admin "attacking player(s)" may have thought of.  I played a couple of rounds on that map today.  The enemy wised up after a while and tried different tactics, but the guys in my squad helping me were aware of what they could and did try.  We won both rounds.  And we got complaints about our tactics for defending the position we were in. 

BOO HOO! The admin is wrong for booting the guy for racking up such a number of kills using a variety of tools at his disposal.  If I discover which server that was, I won't be playing there.  They changed the rules in the middle of a round and as such deserve to lose their ranked status.

I just wish you would have mentioned the server name so I could be sure to avoid playing there.  I really don't need retarded admins like that (though I do respect the fact that since it is their server they are entitled to interpret the ROE as they see fit).

what were you doing? trying to do nothing but get your EO badge. i agree with the guys that run the server - stat padded includes more than raw score. you were using tactics purely for the sake of EO badge, not to play the game.

how else are you going to get that badge if you don't think up a strategy. what, ure gonna throw mines in the middle of no where and hope u get 37 kills? ofcourse u gotta take advantage of other people stupidity. smart play, too bad the admin got jelous.

I feel you man, I totally do. I've lost lots of badges and stuff because of other people being total jerks. I've been kicked by admins for ASKING why I got kicked etc.. People are just complete fucking assholes.. I feel sorry for ya for not getting your expert explosives. But even when I didn't get my badges ( I played for basic commander 4-5 times within 1-4 points of getting it) Got tked once right b4 map end with 1 point to go and I was about to use my assets. Lost cause of being kicked etc.. Anyhow, I suggest you go for other badges.. And try again later on. My bf2 clanleader just recently got his expert explosive, and he had been trying a lot.. So don't worry man eventually you will get it. Just be happy you learned a good way of getting it, go find a better server like a ea official and play there.
